Minuteman Missile NHS participates in the Wall After School Program in which Rangers conduct programs and tours for school-age children and teens from Wall, SD. Kids learn science and rocketry by building and launching plastic straw rockets. Participants also take a ranger-guided tour of the Launch Control Facility and missile silo, and are taught lessons in nuclear weaponry and Cold War history.

Rangers also physically visit area communities and schools presenting programs, and conducting various learning activities. Going to class rooms and reading the "Butter Battle Book" by Dr. Seuss allows younger students are able to better understand the fundamentals and basics of the Cold War and the separation that two different ideologies could cause.
