The mission of the Resource Education Division is "To encourage an awareness, sense of value, and eventual stewardship or kinship of our cultural and natural resources through facilitating emotional/physical/intellectual connections that meet the needs of a diverse and changing population". To achieve this mission the eleven staff members and a cadre of volunteers provide a diversity of educational programming for kids. By the end of this year, we will have provided formal education programs for almost 8000 students. The division provides on-site and off-site educational programming in an attempt to reach the widest population. These students come from the Northeast Florida area, which includes Duval, Clay, and Nassau counties. For more information, please contact: Barbara Goodman, Superintendent Barbara_Goodman@nps.gov
