In observance of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Birthday Martin Luther King, Jr. NHS hosted "Children of the Movement: 50 years after the March on Washington" a panel discussion that highlighted the experiences as seen through the eyes of the children that were either actively involved or witnessed the Movement first-hand thus becoming first generation benefactors of their parent's tireless work within the Civil Rights struggle.  Panelists were the offspring of parents who were leaders of the modern American Civil Rights Movement which included Elder Bernice King, Dr. Alveda King, Andre Williams and Khobi Hall.  Park visitors had the opportunity to interact with the panelist through a moderated conversation and a question and answer session.
