In observance of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Birthday, the Martin Luther King, Jr. NHS hosted "Children's Birthday Party" with Dr. Christine King Farris.  This was a unique opportunity for kindergarten through second grade students to learn about Dr. King's upbringing through the shared experiences of his sister Dr. Christine King Farris.  Dr. Farris read her book "My Brother Martin".  A Jumbotron was setup as backdrop so the students could see the illustrations of the book while she read the story.  Cupcakes and cake was served after the reading along with the singing of "Happy Birthday" to Dr. King.
