The statistics are simply stated: These parks have trained over 200 employees in the 16-hour Operational Leadership course.
Significant coordination and commitment lies behind these numbers, but the payoff is well worth it. Operational Leadership complements standard safety programs by helping each staff member to serve as a leader within his or her own job description. This means taking responsibility for not only their own safety but that of employees they supervise. It's about teamwork and about changing how we look at risk. In every work group and in every area of these large parks, employees are using critical thinking skills gained from the course to keep themselves and their employees safer.
