The familiarization tour included an overview of weapon storage and security, black powder storage and handling, visitor and employee safety, certification of personnel and inspection procedures. Trained and certified I&E staff provided musket and artillery demonstrations and re-enactments of the continental soldiers' drills throughout the summer as living history demonstrations of Baron Von Stueben's successful training methods at Valley Forge which brought the soldiers to a skill level equal to their professional opponents and enabled the Continental Army to go on to win the Revolutionary War.
