In partnership with the Maryland State Bicentennial Commission and the town of Havre de Grace, our NPS park volunteers and staff from the Fort McHenry Guard traveled to Havre de Grace (Harford County) to support the commemoration of the British attack on the town, May 3, 1813, with a weekend that featured Tall Ships, re-enactments of skirmishes throughout the town, a Star-Spangled Banner Flag Program, a concert, and a Red Coat Run 5K race. The Sultanna and the Pride of Baltimore II were docked offshore at waters' edge awaiting the landing of the "British."
