National Park Service archeology staff in and around Washington, D.C. — the National Capital Region (NCR) — conduct and supervise archeology projects for parks in the District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia. Both research and compliance projects have been conducted at prehistoric and historic sites.
