There are many forests and state park areas in the Quinebaug & ShetucketRiversValley area.  Most are open all year round but the hours may vary for each season.  For more information on hours of operation and seasons, please check with each individual state park or forest site.
Dormitory Room  

Did You Know?
Although most immigrants processed at Ellis Island stayed between three and five hours, about 20% stayed overnight in dormitory rooms until their cases could be cleared. Many immigrants found these accommodations a far improvement from the dreaded conditions of traveling to America in "steerage".
