This special resource study depends on input from local residents, organizations, agencies, and environmental business, community and political leaders.

The Draft San Gabriel Watershed and Mountains Special Resource Study and Environmental Assessment is now available for public review. The public comment period extends through February 13, 2012.

You can review our most current newsletter for an executive summary of the draft study report and information about how you can participate.

You can send us your thoughts, and comments by letter, e-mail [links to contact us and e-mail], or through our Planning, Environment, and Public Comment (PEPC) website.

A series of public meetings were held throughout the study area in October and November 2011. We planned these meetings to encourage as many participants as possible to share their thoughts and ideas. Each meeting began with a short presentation about the study after which participants asked clarification questions. Participants were then encouraged to share their thoughts about the draft study report. Facilitators wrote down comments and ideas.

These meetings were not conducted in a formal public hearing format. Official comments should be in writing, either as notes taken by group facilitators during one of these meetings, or submitted to us on comment forms, letters, e-mail, or entered into our online public comment system.
