The National Park Service (NPS) preserves unimpaired the natural and cultural resources and values of the national park system for the enjoyment, education and inspiration of this and future generations. NPS cooperates with partners to extend the benefits of natural and cultural resource conservation and outdoor recreation throughout the country and the world.

The Rivers, Trails, and Conservation Assistance (RTCA) Program implements the natural resource conservation and outdoor recreation mission of the National Park Service in communities across America.

Indian Creek was once buried under downtown streets of Caldwell, Idaho. Trail and site restoration plans were developed under an RTCA partnership with the American Society of Landscape Architects, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the City of Caldwell and others.
