Rivers, trails, greenways and natural areas connect us to our environment and benefit a community’s economy, public health, and quality of life. The National Park Service Rivers, Trails and Conservation Assistance (RTCA) Program supports community-based conservation action. By working with local partners, we hope to foster a network of rivers, trails and greenways that link people – where they live and work – to each other, to their community, and to the countryside. Six western states are served by regional and field offices. Here you will find information about services and project profiles in California, Hawai‘i, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon and Washington. The RTCA Program in the Pacific West Region is managed from park service offices in Oakland and Seattle.
