Common name: Daffodil Scientific name: Narcissus ‘Carlton’ Origin: Europe, North Africa, Asia Uses: Blooms from early to mid-spring. Carlton is the world's most numerous daffodil and one of the best perennializers. It is two-toned yellow, up-facing, with a vanilla-like fragrance. Listed as an heirloom variety from 1927. It is a new introduction to Alcatraz that would have been available during the Military era.
