First CCC company bivouac camp, temporary quarters, Lake Lagunitas, 17 October 1933. The Civilian Conservation Corps worked on various construction projects in and around Muir Woods and Mount Tamalpais until 1941.
View of the original Muir Woods Inn. The open space is where Camp Alice Eastwood parking is now. After the original Inn burned c1907, the track was extended approximately ½ mile downgrade to the new Inn.
