closed in 2000 because of health and safety violations. Re-opening
will restore 35 percent of city recreation services lost by closure
of the center to serve 23 percent of the city population. Work
will include upgrades to the electrical and mechanical systems,
energy efficient windows, and rehabilitation of the gym floor
and restroom facilities. |
