It is located in the State's poorest urban community, is bounded by row homes and several housing projects, and faces imminent shutdown because of its deteriorated condition. The pool's structural integrity is in jeopardy and the filtration system is not functioning properly.

$210,000  Martin Luther King Pool Renovation: This pool, located in north Trenton, is approximately 30 years old in extremely poor condition and was closed by mid-summer last year. The project will provide new decking, a new shell, pump and filter.

$333,200 Four inner city parks will be rehabilitated. At Normandie Lane park four basketball courts, two football practice fields and one tennis court will be reconstructed; two basketball courts and three handball courts will be renovated at Gonzalez park; two tennis courts, two basketball courts, and one handball court and replacement fencing at Roberto Clemente Park; and Carl Arthur Park will receive new fencing around the pool and perimeter.
