$481,700 | Watts Branch Park: The proposal is to renovate a 1.5 mile linear park which serves ten distressed neighborhoods and abuts a key tributary of the Anacostia River. It will be renovated in partnership with Washington Parks and People and the Watts Branch Community Alliance. Many improvements are proposed including four playground areas, lighting in high-crime areas, landscaping, new park furniture mini shelters, a natural amphitheater and outdoor classroom for play, fountains, a parcourse obstacle facility and emergency call boxes along the length of the park. |
