  • Firewood

    Outside firewood is prohibited in Prince William Forest Park, unless it is certified USDA 'bug free' firewood. Dead and downed wood may be collected from designated areas for use while in the park. Help us protect the forest from invasive species!

  • Warm Wet Spring = More Ticks

    Please check yourself and your pets for ticks continually during and after your visit. Ticks are less prevelent if you stay on trail or in mowed areas. Wearing light colored clothing helps you spot them before the attach.

  • Temp. Closure C-Loop Bathroom

    Due to sequestration cuts, the C-Loop bathroom at Oak Ridge Campground will remain closed. Please use the B-Loop restroom, a short walking distance away. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Here is a list of all fees and reservations that can be made at Prince William Forest Park:

 

Entrance Fees: 16 yrs of age and up

$5.00 per single passenger vehicle (less than 14 passengers), valid for 7 consecutive days
$3.00 per person walk-in, bike in or per motor cycle (also 7 days); per person charge for vehicle over 14 passengers.
$20.00 Annual Pass, provides entry for pass holder and occupants of a single personal vehicle (capacity of 14 passengers or less).


 

Annual and Lifetime Passes
These passes provide annual or lifetime access to all Federal Recreation Lands (national parks, national forests, national wildlife refuges etc...)

$80.00 Annual Pass
$10.00 Senior Pass (Lifetime, for persons 62 and up)
FREE Access Pass (Lifetime, for persons with a permanent disability)
FREE Volunteer Pass (Annual, for persons who volunteer more than 500 hours with the NPS)
FREE Military Pass ($80 value. Free to any United States Active Duty Military Personnel & their dependents with valid AD ID.)

$20 Oak Ridge Campground per site, per night (6 people per site)

$40 Turkey Run Ridge Group Campground per site, per night (25-40 people per site)

Did You Know?

American beaver

By the 1900s, Beavers were entirely extirpated from Virginia and were difficult to find across the entire lower 48 states due to over-consumption by humans.  In 1950, Boy Scouts reintroduced 5 beavers into Prince William Forest Park.  Today are more than 80 beavers in the 15,000 acre park.
