ENTRANCE FEES Prince William Forest Park has been collecting fees since 1988 to promote improvements to park infrastructure. Various passes are available to provide you with a discounted entrance to this and other National Park Service sites. These passes include:

Valid for single, private, non-commercial vehicles such as passenger cars, pickup trucks, RVs, vans and converted busses. Valid for the day of purchase and the next six days.

Details
Per-person fee for persons 16 years of age or older when entering by means other than a single, private, non-commercial vehicle. Examples include walk-in entries, motorcycles, bicycles; buses carrying passengers not on a pre-packaged tour such as school groups visiting for recreational purposes; and buses or vans registered to a non-profit organization such as a church or school. Valid for the day of purchase and the next six days.

Details
An annual pass for entrance into Prince William Forest Park for persons entering in a single, private, non-commercial vehicle or alternately the pass owner and 3 people when a per-person fee is charged. Valid for twelve months from the month of purchase. Pass is non-transferable and valid for one vehicle.

Nationwide passes are also available. These passes include the Interagency Annual Pass, the Interagency Age Pass (62 years & up), and the Interagency Access Pass (for persons with disabilities.
These passes provide access to all federal land management areas including lands managed by the National Park Service, US Fish and Wildlife Service, US Forest Service, Bureau of Land Management, and Bureau of Reclamation.

Prince William Forest Park was used by the Office of Strategic Services (forerunner to the CIA) as a training camp for spies during World War II. Today, you can rent a cabin where spies once learned their trade.
