FEES, COSTS, RATES

Entrance and all National Park Service programs are free of charge at the Presidio.

RESERVATIONS/PERMITS

Reservations are requested for all education programs and for some interpretive programs; call the visitor center at (415) 561-4323. Permits are required for group camping, commercial filming and outdoor events such as weddings, fairs and races - contact the Presidio Trust at (415) 561-5300 or the Special Park Uses Group at (415) 561-4300.

Buffalo Soldier Cavalry  

Did You Know?
For some of the Buffalo Soldiers in Roosevelt's Honor Guard, the president's visit to the Presidio was a reunion of sorts. During the Spanish-American War, the 9th Cavalry had fought alongside Colonel Roosevelt's "Rough Riders" at San Juan Hill.
