2014 Harbor Seal Pupping Season Closures
From March 1 through June 30, the park implements closures of certain Tomales Bay beaches and Drakes Estero to water-based recreation to protect harbor seals during the pupping season. Please avoid disturbing seals to ensure a successful pupping season. More »
Operational Changes Took Effect on May 1, 2013
The Lighthouse Visitor Center is now only open Fridays through Mondays; closed Tuesdays through Thursdays, including Thanksgiving. The Kenneth C. Patrick Visitor Center is open on weekends and holidays when shuttles are operating. More »
Join local mushroom walks on Saturday, January 4, 2014. Meet at the Bear Valley Visitor Center at 10 am. Bring your finds to the Red Barn at 1 pm for identification. Park visitors and local residents are welcome to participate.
Then on Sunday, January 5, 2014, please attend the Ninth Annual Point Reyes National Seashore Fungus Fair! 10 am to 4 pm at the Bear Valley Visitor Center.
Learn about the fungi of the Point Reyes National Seashore. You can pore over the remarkable colors and shapes of native wild mushrooms on display.
