Point Reyes National Seashore will be conducting a controlled burn on a pile of wood at the historic E Ranch on Friday June 12. Personnel and equipment will convene at the burn site at 0830. This is a training burn, with the objective of practicing foam application with the two engines for exposure (structure) protection. It is expected that smoke will be generated until approximately noon. Fire personnel will remain on scene until the fire enters a smoldering phase, at which time patrols by National Park Service fire technicians will complete the process.
