2012 Harbor Seal Pupping Season Closures
From March 1 through June 30, an annual closure of Drakes Estero and certain beaches of Tomales Bay is implemented to protect harbor seals during the pupping season. Please avoid disturbing seals to ensure a successful pupping season. More »

Point Reyes National Seashore makes every effort to keep the public informed about news events, accomplishments, employee recognitions, special and re-occurring events which occur within and around the units of the Park Service. Point Reyes National Seashore issues news releases to local and regional newspapers, and publishes Visitor Guides and other newsletters. Park Wavelengths is a bi-weekly email that contains natural and cultural history information, notices about events and other news about the Seashore.
