Point Reyes National Seashore makes every effort to keep the public informed about news events, accomplishments, employee recognitions, special and re-occurring events which occur within and around the units of the Park Service.

Point Reyes National Seashore issues news releases to local and regional newspapers, and publishes Visitor Guides and other newsletters. Park Wavelengths is a bi-weekly email that contains natural and cultural history information, notices about events and other news about the Seashore.

Did You Know?
Elephant seals (Mirounga angustirostris)are the largest pinniped with males reaching a maximum of about 5,000 lbs. Harbor seals (Phoca vitulina) are much smaller with both males and females reaching a maximum weight of around 250 lbs.
