Body Found in Point Reyes National Seashore on May 21, 2014

On May 21, 2014, shortly after noon, a body was discovered in Point Reyes National Seashore near the Palomarin Trailhead at the southern end of Point Reyes National Seashore.

The body matches the description of a person reported missing from Santa Rosa. The decedent was identified through fingerprint analysis as Jade Dashiell, a 41-year old female resident of Santa Rosa. The National Park Service worked under a unified command with the Marin County Sheriff’s Office, Marin County Search & Rescue, Marin County Fire, Santa Rosa Police Department, and US Coast Guard to search for the missing person after the vehicle was located at the Palomarin Trailhead parking lot around 5 pm on Tuesday, May 20.
