Join Point Reyes National Seashore in its annual Beach Clean-up titled "Time to Clean the Coast". Last year residents throughout Marin County collected over 17,000 pounds of trash and 3,000 pounds of recyclable materials! Come get empowered and do something positive for the environment. Tallies will be noted for the kinds of trash collected. The California Coastal Commission collects data to document the types of pollution on our beaches and their potential points of origin. You can make a difference.

This year, the event is set for Saturday, September 16th. Participants will meet at the Limantour Beach parking lot at 9:30 am. Wear outdoor attire; layered clothing, sunscreen, hat, and bring water and garden gloves if you have them. Each participant receives a free water filter for his or her efforts. Come have fun at the beach and tell your friends or bring a group.
