National Park Service Announces Settlement of Litigation on Management of Ranching at Point Reyes National Seashore
The U.S. Department of Justice today filed a multi-party settlement agreement in federal court that if accepted by the court, resolves the litigation challenging Point Reyes National Seashore’s General Management Plan and its management of ranching.

National Park Service to Host Community Workshops for the Ranch Comprehensive Management Plan
Point Reyes National Seashore will host two community workshops for the Ranch Comprehensive Management Plan/Environmental Assessment on November 20 and 21. The meetings will provide an update on the Ranch Comprehensive Management Plan and solicit further thought and discussion from the public.

Public Comments and Summary Report Now Available for the Ranch Comprehensive Management Plan
The NPS has released the Public Comment Analysis Report for the Ranch Comprehensive Management Plan/Environmental Assessment. The report presents analysis and summary of public comment, and includes more than 3,000 comment letters submitted during the 6 week comment period.

Point Reyes National Seashore Initiates Ranch Planning
The National Park Service is initiating a ranch planning process for the approximately 28,000 acres of working beef cattle and dairy ranches administered by Point Reyes National Seashore. Scoping, which will run from April 21 through June 2, 2014, invites the public to comment so concerns are identified early and the analysis is focused on the issues raised.
