This site features ancient Native American earthworks which date back to 12 centuries before the birth of Christ. A museum includes an audio-visual presentation and numerous artifacts found on the site. An archaeological laboratory, picnic areas, restrooms and self-guided hiking trails complete the facility.

Parsons' Battery Exhibit

The men of Parsons' Battery, Batteries H & M of the Fourth U.S. Artillery, fired 2,199 cannon rounds during the Battle of Stones River. That was more than ten percent of all of the Union artillery rounds fired during the battle.
