Perseids in Time: Night Sky Viewing

Join a park ranger at the Buffalo Point Amphitheater for an introduction to the night sky and Perseid Meteor Shower. Participants will then move to an open grassy area near the amphitheater for star gazing. Bring lawn chairs or blankets to sit on, and please consider using warm-colored lights (red, amber) to find your way to the program area in order to preserve participants' night vision.

Buffalo National River is an International Dark Sky Park dedicated to protecting naturally dark skies through responsible lighting practices, public education and programming.
