Megan Haidet Stands in as Interim Spotlight Coordinator

You may have noticed Megan's name frequenting PCA and MPWG materials over the last few months. She joined the PCA team this summer as Communications Coordinator and is working on a variety of projects. Megan is from central Ohio and gained experience growing and preparing herbs with her parents; both are avid gardeners and her mother is an herbalist. She spent some time at the United Plant Savers botanical santuary in SE Ohio and at the Center for Plant Conservation in St. Louis. Megan recently completed her M.Sc. in Environmental Policy and is enthusiastic about and committed to native plant conservation.

Every other month, we will introduce you to a different MPWG member and explore the who?, what?, where?, when? and how? related to their involvement with medicinal plants.

These are the individuals whose accomplishments and motivation contribute to MPWGs mission of forging partnerships with industry, government, academia, tribes and environmental organizations to facilitate the sustainable use and the conservation of medicinal plants.
