At the barbeque

In 2006, Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore celebrated 40 years of protecting, managing, and making available to the public the natural, cultural, and recreational heritage of a portion of the Lake Superior shoreline. This has been made possible by 80+ permanent staff and countless seasonal employees and volunteers.

An All Employee Reunion Picnic was held Saturday, July 1, 2006, at Sand Point Park Headquarters. The day included a barbecue, storytelling, and a general good time was held by all.

Brian Hoduski videotaped employee reminiscences.  Donna Petersen snapped great photos of the gathering.  John Kacich grilled some great burgers and hot dogs. Special thanks to Gregg Bruff for organizing the event.

Many employees sent their regrets and best wishes ... the reunion was so much fun that we hope have another in a few years.

Missing from the photos: Grant and Donna, Catherine, Nick and Lauren.
