National Park Week April 16th to 24th

During National Park Week, April 16 to 24, Pipestone National Monument and all National Parks will waive entrance fees. National Park Week is an opportunity to engage families and communities in America's Great Outdoors, reconnecting them with nature and creating close to home opportunities for people to get outside, be active, and have fun. Saturday, April 23rd, is National Junior Ranger Day, an opportunity for young visitors to participate in completing Junior Ranger activities to receive an official NPS Junior Ranger certificate and badge. National Park Service passes are available for purchase throughout the year at the Monument including National Park Week. |
Did You Know?
Joseph Nicollet and John C. Frémont, famous 19th century explorers, visited Pipestone National Monument in 1838 and carved their initials into the Sioux Quartzite cliff. The inscription is still visible along the Circle Trail. More...
