Due to sequestration Perry's Victory and International Peace Memorial will delay opening of the Visitor Center and Observation Deck till Saturday, May 25, 2013. Hours will be 10AM to 5PM. More »

NPS Photo Panorama from Memorial Observation Deck Medium Quality 800x600 (0.6MB) The observation deck gallery captures the panoramic view of western Lake Erie that one would see from atop the memorial column. From this height of 352 feet Middle Bass Island, North Bass Island, Johnson's Island, Kelley's Island, Pelee Island in Canada, and the Ohio mainland of Catawba Point and Marblehead Peninsula are visible. On a clear day it is possible to see as far as Detroit, Toledo and Cleveland.
