    Petroglyph viewing is currently available at Boca Negra and Piedras Marcadas Canyons. Rinconada Canyon is scheduled to re-open to the public on Thursday, October 2, 2014 at 10:00 am.

Petroglyph National Monument and Western National Parks Association celebrate the 2013 holiday winter season with the 9th Annual Open House and Zuni Carving Show & Sale. The Zuni stone carving show will feature trader Donald Sharp with hundreds of handmade stone carvings (also called fetishes) made by Zuni Pueblo families. 

In addition to the carving sale, the bookstore will also feature several special holiday gifts at a discount, including 2014 New Mexico Calendars and delicious organic chocolate. Rounding out our Holiday festivities will be Mimbres pottery demonstrator Michael Kanteena who will demonstrate the skill and craft of his reproduction, and have his beautiful pottery for sale as well.

Location: Petroglyph National Monument Visitor Center, Unser Blvd. NW at Western Trail. Take I-40 to the Unser Blvd. exit (#154) and proceed north for 3 miles. Turn left (west) onto Western Trail and follow road to the visitor center.
