Pea Ridge National Military Park is pleased to announce that it will begin accepting applications for the Youth Conservation Corps (YCC) on March 31, 2008.

People in this program will work five (5) days per week for a minimum of eight weeks. The program will begin when school ends. Pay is $6.65 per hour. Work hours will consist of eight (8) hours per day with a half-hour lunch, or 40 hours per week. Enrollees will work with park maintenance and resource management staff on a variety of tasks.

You will need your own transportation to and from work. Positions will be filled by young men and women. To be eligible to apply, you must be at least 15 years of age and cannot reach your 19th birthday during the term of employment. Employment may be extended to twelve weeks if funds and work are available. You must also be a permanent resident of the United States and have a social security card.

Completed forms MUST be returned to the park by 5:00 PM May 12, 2008. Late applications will not be accepted.
