Public Comment Sought on Draft General Management Plan for Addition of Land

Petrified Forest National Park, Arizona—Petrified Forest National Park has prepared a draft General Management Plan amendment, the purpose of which is to establish the overall management direction for park addition lands. Park addition lands were established by the Petrified Forest National Park Expansion Act of 2004. The public is invited to review and comment on the proposed plan.   

Interested persons may comment by April 2, 2010 via any of the following methods:

  • Submit comments on the Internet at the NPS planning website: http://parkplanning.nps.gov/pefo.
  • Submit written comments to the Superintendent, Petrified Forest National Park, at P.O. Box 2217 Petrified Forest, AZ 86028
  • Attend a Public meeting on March 15, 2010 from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the Holbrook City Hall Council Chambers, 465 1st Avenue, Holbrook, AZ 86025
