Artist Statement

Upon graduating with a Bachelors of Fine Art from the University of New Mexico, I moved to the Bay Area to explore the many artistic opportunities that this area has to offer. After spending time managing art galleries, I learned about the business of art. Through networking, I became an apprentice for Serena Dugan. I spent many years learning the trade of decorative painting. Since my time with Serena, I transformed the idea of decorative painting to include: faux finishes, mural painting, wood staining, sign art, and a variety of other professional techniques.

I still have a passion for my fine art. My small and large scale contemporary mixed media paintings are displayed throughout the Bay Area. And I also continue to work by commission. I dedicate my years of training combined with my years of experience to all of my wonderful teachers, mentors, and clients. I am constantly looking for new opportunities to explore my many avenues of art.
