Artist Statement

I was in effect born in 1966 (actually 1943) when I began doing photography! In 1968 I entered the Air Force and photography - working as a Still Photography Specialist until 1972. In becoming a civilian I finished a Masters Degree in Art/Photography and began as an instructor at Northland Pioneer College in Arizona, where I remain today as chair of the photography department.

My photographs have appeared in Arizona Highways, Wilderness, Sierra, Isaac Walton League, SLR, Outdoor Photographer, High Country News, and Wilderness Society annual reports - to mention a few.

Permanent collections of my work can be found at the National Archives, Museum of Photographic Arts San Diego, Snell and Wilmer Law Firm in Phoenix, Arizona, US Forest Service, and personal private collections.
