About the Park Guide

This new version of the "Visit Your Parks" feature of ParkNet is being implemented during National Park Week. It includes several new ways to search for park information. The next revisions to ParkNet will include a complete redesign of the standard park home pages, including "Park Profiles," with more data base and search capabilities than are in this version. What you see now ("Special Topics," "Recreational Activities" and "Historic People") is based on topics of broad public interest, but in later versions you'll see more topics and better ways to search through all of ParkNet. National Park Service experts in many areas will be contributing to the new Park Profiles.

The target date for the new Park Profiles is June 2000.
