ANTIETAM NATIONAL BATTLEFIELD

A restored historic stone wall.

Antietam National Battlefield is restoring and reinforcing the historic stone walls that play such an important part of the landscape of this Civil War battlefield. The stone walls are classified as historic structures and are being restored as part of a National Park Service initiative to address a backlog of maintenance needs throughout the National Park System.
