HARRY S TRUMAN NATIONAL HISTORIC SITE

A favorite spot in the warm months, the Trumans spent many hours using this back porch. They would spend time reading or playing cards as well as occasionally eating their noon meal while enjoying the fresh air. Privacy was essential to the Trumans and was maintained on their back porch by allowing shrubbery to shield the view from busy Truman Road, just north of the home.
