THE SEASON'S GREETINGS!

The Season's Greetings!

The December issue of Nature News Notes, unfortunately, is to late to wish its readers a Merry Christmas and so it will have to convey belated Christmas Greetings and sincere wishes for a Happy New Year as well.

Winter, as you can easily imagine, holds full sway on the "Mountain" at this time. As this is being written a heavy snow is falling that is rapidly transforming a familiar landscape into one of unknown possibilities. Weird shapes rise where once stood small trees or mounds of stone and the branches of the conifers, heavily festooned with snow, droop under the excessive weight. The Mountain presents a striking picture in its ermine coat!
