The Grand Canyon-Parashant
National Monument encompasses more than one million acres of remote
and unspoiled public lands on the Colorado Plateau in northwestern
Arizona. It borders Grand Canyon National Park to the south and
the state of Nevada to the west and includes some of the most
remote lands in the lower 48 states. The monument is managed jointly
by the Bureau of Land Management and the National Park Service.
