Geological Adventures at Parashant

Geological Adventures at Parashant is a hands-on, inquiry-based curriculum module that uses the fascinating setting of Parashant to help students understand fundamental geology concepts and skills in a fun and engaing way. Each lesson has a detailed teacher guide and the student text. If you plan to print black and white copies for students, download the slide shows so that you can project color photographs, maps, and instructions for setting up hands-on activities with your students.

Pacific Coast Treefrog  

Did You Know?
Pacific coast treefrogs (Hyla regilla) are the only frogs at Lava Beds, but are common throughout the monument and prefer cool, moist caves entrances. They are usually seen after occasional summer rainstorms.
