Palo Alto Battlefield National Historical Park is pleased to offer a variety of lesson plans to help students learn about the initial battles of the U.S.-Mexican War and the historical context for these events. We encourage you to use these activities to supplement for field trips or to reinforce other materials presented in the classroom.

The materials listed are divided into two categories. The first group of materials is designed for use with elementary age students. The second group is designed for middle school students. All lessons are based on national and Texas educations standards.
