Fees Camping fees vary in the winter season(Nov 1 - April 15)as wintertime services vary in each campground. Backcountry Camping Fees
Private Campgrounds There are many privately operated commercial campgrounds around the park. These range from very nice first class places to more rustic. The National Park Service does not recommend, endorse or inspect any of these. These links are provided as a convenience. Click on the town near where you'd like to camp and you'll go to their Chamber of Commerce Camping page: Van Buren Picnic Shelter Reservations Fees Tours are at 10:00 and 2:00 daily from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Please wear sturdy footwear and dress warmly, as it is about 54 degrees in the cave. Please DO NOT bring your own flashlights, we will provide lighting equipment. DO NOT bring any equipment or clothing that has been in other caves. This is to help control the spread of White Nose Syndrome, a disease that is killing bats across the US. (It is harmless to humans.) |
Did You Know?
"Shut Ins" are an Ozark term for small canyon-like areas where water and rock struggle. Ozark National Scenic Riverways' Rocky Falls is the best known in the park, but there are several more in less easily accessible areas such as near Klepzig Mill.
