COMMERCIAL USE AUTHORIZATION

A Commercial Use Authorization is required in most cases for anyone doing business within the park. This includes anyone wishing to sell items or food within the park boundary, lead guided fishing expeditions, or similar activities. Some activities may be managed under a Concessions Contract.

SOLICITATION FOR FEDERAL BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY

OZAR001 Alley Spring.  The National Park Service issued a concession prospectus on August 25, 2009 for Canoe and Tube Rentals with Shuttle Service, Camp Store and Retail Merchandise, and Firewood Sales at Ozark National Scenic Riverways. The existing Concession contract between the National Park Service and the existing Concessioner expires on December 31, 2009, or when a new Contract is awarded, whichever occurs first.  The Director, pursuant to 36 CFR Part 51, has determined that the existing Concessioner is a preferred Offeror for the Contract. The term of the new Concession Contract will be for ten (10) years.  Any offer, including that of the existing Concessioner, must be received by the Concession Program Manager, National Park Service, Midwest Regional Office, 601 Riverfront Drive, Omaha, Nebraska 68102 no later than ninety (90) days from August 25, 2009 in order to be evaluated and considered for award of the Concession Contract. The prospectus will be issued on August 25, 2009 for a 90-day response period under the terms described in the prospectus, with proposals due on November 23, 2009, no later than 4:00 p.m. (Central Time). There is a printing cost recovery charge of $25 per copy to be delivered via Federal Express or $20 per copy if picked up in person at the above address. Checks or money orders (no cash or credit accepted) must be payable to the National Park Service; and you must include a business address (no post office box) to receive a Federal Express package. A Tax Identification Number (TIN) or Social Security Number (SSN) must be provided on all checks. Prospectus packages will be available by contacting Tracy Simmons, Concessions Management Specialist, Midwest Regional Office, National Park Service, 601 Riverfront Drive, Omaha, Nebraska 68102. Telephone inquiries may be directed to 402-661-1750. Additionally, the prospectus will also be available for review, after August 25, 2009 at http://www.concessions.nps.gov/news.cfm.
