Park Rangers in the Classroom

You can have a Park Ranger come to your classroom and present a curriculum-based education programs directed at students in 3rd - 8th grades. These programs include an interactive talk and hands-on activity for the students. The presentations also helps prepare the students for their visit to Oregon Caves.

Spring 2012 Classroom Visits

Dates: April 16 - 27
Times: any time between 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
Duration: allow 1 hour (45 minute presentation and 15 minutes for set-up)
Fees: None
Capacity: 35 students

Did You Know?
The mountains surrounding Oregon Caves are composed of ocean crust including rocks uplifted directly from the mantle. These mantle rocks make up one of the largest serpentine rock outcrops in the nation.
