For Kids

Hello kids, Oregon Caves offers a variety of activities directed at our most valuable natural resource YOU!

The Junior Ranger Chickaree Program is for kids ages 3-5. Learn why the Monument is so special while expressing your creative side.

The Junior Ranger Program is for kids ages 5 and up. This program is fun and rewarding. Upon completion of this program, you now share the responsibilities of protecting and preserving the Monument.

While you hike, earn Junior Ranger Trail Buttons when completing a fun activity while in the woods.

You can also spend some time relaxing in the shade of the oak near the Visitor Center while listening and participating in Ranger Programs. These programs may be about a variety of topics such as mountain lions, forest fires, or tree identification.

Did You Know?
The stream that comes out of the entrance of the cave is a tributary to a watershed that empties into the Pacific Ocean. There are no human-made obstructions that would prevent salmon migration, which makes this the only cave in the National Park Service with an unobstructed link to the ocean.
