  • Olympic Hot Springs Road Closed

    The Elwha Valley's Olympic Hot Springs Road is closed to public entry beyond the Altair Campground during removal of the Glines Canyon Dam. Olympic Hot Springs is not accessible from the Elwha.

  • Elwha River Closures

    Boating is prohibited on the Elwha River from Upper Lake Mills Trail downstream to the Highway 112 bridge, except for the stretch between Altair Campground and the Highway 101 bridge.

  • Changes to Visitor Services Due to Sequestration

    Due to mandatory, across the board budget cuts, some visitor services at Olympic National Park have changed. See the Plan Your Visit section for more information.

Hurricane Ridge Visitor Center

The Hurricane Ridge Visitor Center, located at elevation 5,242 feet at the top of Hurricane Ridge Road, is open daily, weather permitting, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Hurricane Ridge Visitor Center
The Visitor Center will open for the winter season on December 17, 2010. The information desk will be staffed daily from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. A schedule of ranger-led activities at Hurricane Ridge is available here.

 

Snack Bar and Ski Shop
Starting December 11, the Hurricane Ridge Snack Bar and Ski Shop is open from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, weather permitting.

The snack bar and ski shop will also operate on holiday weekends for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day (Monday, January 17) and Washington’s Birthday (Monday, February 21) and during the holiday period from Sunday, December 26 through Sunday, January 2.
