Tired and hungry but in good condition, Adam Martin and Sakura Pressly walked out to the Whitehorse Creek trailhead at approximately 5:00 this afternoon, where they were met by search and rescue personnel who had been stationed there.

The two Olympia-area hikers, both in their early twenties, had been the subject of a search that began earlier today.

They left home Sunday morning for an intended day hike in the Lake of the Angels - Mount Stone area, along the eastern boundary of Olympic National Park north of Staircase and were reported overdue this morning by family members when they each failed to report to work. Their vehicle has been located at the Whitehorse Creek trailhead along the Hamma Hamma Road.

Olympic National Park staff along with members of Mason County Search and Rescue participated in the search, which included both ground searchers and a helicopter.
